Do you have muscle pain?
Muscles affect every part of your life. They comprise two-thirds of your body, and directly effect the circulatory and nervous system(s). Many times, chronic pain may be caused by muscle spasms.
Muscle spasms can be caused by everyday activities, whether it's sports-related, physical or emotional stress, exercise, physical trauma, or illness. Symptoms may include pain (either chronic or sporadic), tingling, numbness, tightening of the area, muscle fatigue, migraines, and tension headaches. Sometimes, the spasm may or may not even hurt, because the body protects itself by sending endorphins to the area to numb the pain.
Neuromuscular Therapy is a technique that relaxes the muscle spasms by specific manipulations of the muscle fibers. This stimulates the nerves in the muscle spindle, which in turn signals the brain to relax and release built-up lactic acid in the area. |
