Dr Scott E. Powell Dr. Powell attended Columbia College where he was one of the founding members of the rock and roll band, Sha Na Na. He performed with the group at the Woodstock Festival, Fillmore East and West, in Europe and Japan, on the syndicated television series, Sha Na Na, and in the movies Woodstock, Grease and Caddyshack. He left the band in 1980 and returned to Columbia to take premedical courses. He attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completed Internship at St. Luke's Roosevelt and Residency in Orthopedics at Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City. He completed his Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles.

Dr. Powell is is Board Certified and practiced at Kaiser Permanente for twelve years. He recently founded Stetson Powell Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Burbank with partner Bill Stetson. In addition to a busy practice in Sports Medicine, Dr. Powell is active in the Arthroscopy Association of North America, serving on the Fellowship and Education Committees, the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine, serving on the Technology Committee and Council of Delegates, and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He has presented research at meetings in Hong Kong, Australia, Cuba and the United States. He is a member of the Medical Staff of US Soccer National Teams and is Team Physician for the U.S. Soccer Women's National Team. He is Associate Clinical Professor at the USC Keck School of Medicine and on the Board of Directors of United Cerebral Palsy.
